1/2 way through the Michelle Wright tour!
Well, here we are. 13 shows into Michelle’s cross Canada tour. What can I say? It’s been an amazing experience already and I feel like I’ve totally reconnected with a part of my musical life that has been missing for quite some time… performance. I’m really enjoying playing live again and I’m trying to figure out how I can continue doing it on a part time basis. But there is one large problem… I only want to work on this level… otherwise, it’s not worth it. Michelle is an absolute pleasure to work with, the band is an awesome bunch of players and a great hang, we have an amazing crew, the venues (for the most part) are very high end and we are traveling in total style on a beautiful tour bus. This is NOT the reality of most musical situations… period. Oh well… back to the cave and recoding. Call me if there’s a good live gig to be had. Cheers P

Well, yesterday was one to remember.
I woke up in the smallish town of Campbell River B.C. on Victoria Island. B.C. happens to be my favourite province in our fair country (sorry Ontario).I received some long distance love from my girls at home, looked through a pile of Facebook birthday love (which as impersonal as it is sometimes) made me feel like a million bucks, had a nice continental breakfast with a some of my new band mates and got back on the bus to go to soundcheck.
Foggy Friday in B.C.

Well, I’m afraid I’m about to make up for all the posts I haven’t made recently.
I’m sitting on a tour bus (for the 3ed day straight). I left Nashville after 3 days of rehearsals and am now en route to Vancouver Island to kick off a 6 week tour with the fantastic Canadian country singer Michelle Wright
I have the good fortune of playing in her band with some awesome musicians.

I’m gonna have a lot of time to kill so I’m going to keep you all VERY up to date on the goings on out on the road with lots of pics and much babbling.
